Conclusion / eindverslag

Before going to Scotland, I made a list of objectives for this internship. I was not sure if I would succeed in doing everything I wanted, but I think I actually did pretty well. My goals were as follows:

In this internship, I hope to be useful to the place I will be working for. I hope to be able to really help them out with something, to feel as though I am necessary and not just sit around all day waiting until I can do something. I also hope to learn more about the culture, even though I am not sure if we will have time to do so. I wish to see more of the surroundings and also learn more about the story behind it. Also, I hope I will gain some independence by doing this, by travelling abroad without my parents or school.

I was actually really necessary at the campsite, which was proven by the flowers and chocolates we were given by a grateful camper. We had been working very hard, which resulted in two days off. In those days off, we got to know the surroundings a little bit. Pam and Mike showed us the area which was really good, as that was also one of my objectives. That was also the one objective I was not all that sure about, but we made it happen after all. And then the last objective was the easiest actually, it is just part of the internship, it just happens automatically. However, it is a very important part of this internship.

Most importantly, it just was a great week in which I worked hard but also had a lot of fun. I really loved working together with the people working on the campsite and also meeting other people who were staying on the campsite was a really important part of the internship. I had never expected it to be this nice, especially not the people and how welcome we were.
