Day 8

Hello!

Today was not a day off after all… We had to do some little housekeeping tasks, which is not all that bad when you think about it, but I was really ready for a day off. We started by making the beds and  in the Annan bunkhouse, which is the one we painted. Then we cleaned some tables and chairs for the wedding upcoming weekend. I had to clean the tables with bleach which my hands weren’t all that happy with (typing this hurts too). We also had to plant some flowers but I do not really see that as a chore (except, again, my hands were not really happy with that). The rest of the day consisted of reading and playing games – no surprise there. However, we did have one very big surprise: the husband-to-be gave us very fancy chocolates and a beautiful bouquet because he was very grateful for our work (painting the bunkhouse and limewashing the roundhouse). We had never expected them to be that happy, I mean, we did well, but it was not all that special to us. It was so nice to hear that our work was appreciated. I cannot stop thinking about it because it is so so nice.  

Tomorrow night we will go to the cliffs with Mike and I am really looking forward to that.
