Day 7

Hello!

Today we continued limewashing the roundhouse. We started early so we could finish early, too. I was actually quite fed up with painting (we all were) so we were determined to finish it quickly. But then Steve came to tell us we also had to limewash the outside as well… However, we were out of limewash so we could finish early anyway and everything was alright. The rest of the day we have been reading and playing games. Steve said we could have tomorrow off as well! Today some new guests arrived: Dutch people! And now everyone seems to think we really work here and we actually have a clue about what is going on. They keep coming to us for help, which is actually really nice.
I also met the person staying at the Nith Bunkhouse. I talked to him for a while about going on holiday, the Netherlands and cycling (he cycled from Glasgow to Venice once!). It was really nice actually talking to one of the guests (and not just about what we are here for).

Tomorrow we will hopefully have the day off but I am not sure what we will do then. We were thinking about going for a hike, but there’ll be heavy showers tomorrow…
